History
Richmond Bilingual School was founded on August 12, 1989, and started as a nursery school known as Little Star, located at Cra. 54 No. 168ª – 56, in a Bogota neighborhood known as San José de Bavaria. Its founder was Mrs. Alicia González de Becerra, a psychologist with broad International school expertise.
In 1992, due to strong demand by parents, the nursery school moved to a different location in which the elementary school initiated and where the school remained until September 1997, when the current building in the north of Bogota was acquired.
The first school principal was Mr. Luis Emilio Enciso, who also worked on the organization and legalization of all academic aspects. Later, this position was occupied by Mr. Edgar Ulloa, Mr. Luis Guillermo Laverde, Mr. Raúl Adames, Mr. Iván Mustian and Ms. Leslie O’Conell, the current principal.
The Richmond Bilingual School education community started to grow while its excellent academic and education accomplishments started to be renowned. In this manner, new courses opened until all elementary and high-school Grades were completed; the first class graduated in 2004.
